Rob joined ESC in 2002. He has a strong technical background with experience in both contracting and consulting engineering companies.


Now with more than 25 years’ experience in Building Services engineering, projects on which Rob has worked cover a wide range of building types in the commercial, residential, industrial, educational, retail, medical and extra care sectors.


He prides himself on combining efficient and pragmatic design with good commercial engineering solutions as well as the integration of sensible renewable systems and modern technologies.

Chris established ESC in 2002.


He is a qualified engineer with nearly 30 years' experience in Building Services engineering.


Chris is a self-motivated individual and has a proven track record of delivering clients' expectations through a commercial view of property. The development of client relationships (and therefore repeat business) is one of his key strengths. He prides himself on good communication and continually strives to improve the quality of engineering solutions and technologies.


Chris' experience is wide and varied, from research laboratories and industrial production facilities to leisure and commercial office developments and hybrid-use buildings. He has worked in both the construction contracting and consulting sectors and for property advisors in the UK and in Europe.

Stuart joined the ESC  team in September 2015.


He has more than 20 years’ experience in electrical design and installation covering a wide range of building types in the industrial, commercial, educational, healthcare and domestic sectors.


With a background as an experienced electrical supervisor and inspection and testing engineer, Stuart is often at the forefront of contractor liaison on behalf of our clients.

Chris joined our team in May 2017. With more than two years’ experience as an ecologist (including undertaking Habitat Surveys and species-specific ecological surveys), Chris is tasked with providing ecological guidance and information to our clients’, as well as preparing the relevant reports and documentation in support of their planning applications.
He is experienced in carrying out many types of ecological surveys (including great-crested newts, reptiles, water voles, otters, bats, badgers, birds, white-clawed crayfish, fish and aquatic macro invertebrates) and also undertakes Ecological Clerk of Works (ECoW) duties.

Amy joined ESC in July 2016 following her MSc (Hons).


She became a qualified BREEAM Assessor in December 2016, and has since become qualified in the majority of BREEAM schemes, thereby enabling her to undertake assessments for different building types (including both commercial and public properties). She not only undertakes the formal assessments but also provides advice on methods and compliance as well as producing strategies to achieve the target ratings.


Amy also produces Sustainability Statements which are often used to support planning applications and also Travel Plans promoting sustainable forms of transport.

Gavin joined ESC in 2013 and now has more than 8 years’ experience of building services engineering in a wide range of sectors including commercial, industrial, educational, retail, hotels, health care and domestic.


He has a strong background of technical design and his experience includes the design and monitoring of residential, extra care homes and hotel schemes around the UK.


Also qualified as an On-Construction Domestic Energy Assessor, Gavin is able to undertake SAP assessments for domestic dwellings.

Dan became a qualified engineer in 2001 and now has 23 years’ design experience with consulting engineering companies.


He joined ESC in 2006 and brings an enthusiastic and professional approach to design and on-site monitoring in building services consultancy.


Dan strives to be at the forefront of low energy design and energy conservation solutions through the implementation of new technologies in all aspects of building services design. His design and monitoring experience for both the commercial and residential markets are invaluable in developing a fresh approach to design.

Jack joined the ESC team in August 2017.


He is currently studying for his HNC in Building Services as well as working alongside his colleagues in the electrical design department.



Jack's background lies in mechanical, electrical and plumbing design, especially on medical and educational establishment projects. His experience includes the preparation of full tender packages and the creation of specifications for medical centre projects. He is proficient in the use of DIALux to provide the most accurate lighting calculations and design for our clients

Tom became a part of the ESC team at the end of November 2017.


A graduate of Aston University, Tom will be working alongside his colleagues in the Mechanical Engineering department.


Tom's final year dissertation was entitled 'Measuring the Performance of Smart Cities' and included the examination and development of smart buildings (in particular controls/building management systems). He has also made in-depth studies of fluid mechanics and thermodynamics and is always seeking innovations in other areas of engineering which may be transferrable to building services.

Jessica joined ESC in July 2016 after completing her BSc (Hons) degree course.


She qualified as a BREEAM assessor in December 2016 and has since undertaken BREEAM assessments on different building types including industrial sheds, medical centres, multi-residential buildings and retail parks.


Her role not only involves undertaking the formal assessment but also providing advice on methods for compliance and producing strategies to achieve the target ratings.


Jess has also been involved with advising on BREEAM Refurbishment and Fit-Out, and is also qualified to write Travel Plans which include assembling sustainable transport proposals for developments.

Darren joined ESC in 2014 to oversee the CAD management and development of BIM within the company.


Having worked in the building services industry for over 20 years for various companies, Darren has a vast experience using various CAD systems and his knowledge and ability enables him to achieve expected targets whilst maintaining a high level of quality and accuracy.


He has previously worked on a large cross section of projects in the Hospital, Commercial, Leisure, Residential, Education and Healthcare sectors.

Kim joined ESC in February 2016 after graduating from Aston University.


As a certified Low Carbon Consultant, Kim is responsible for ensuring compliance with the relevant building regulations and council planning requirements by providing low energy design solutions for the concept and design stages.


His experience extends to using EDSL Tas and IES Virtual Environment in assessing project compliance with BREEAM energy performance, sustainability and human comfort criteria.


He is currently working towards becoming a Level 5 Low Energy Assessor.

Liam began his apprenticeship with ESC in 2015.


He is currently studying for his BTEC Level 4 in Building Services Engineering as well as working alongside his colleagues in the mechanical design team.


He has worked on design process performing calculations for ventilation systems along with the designing boiler room refurbishment works.


Liam's work also includes attending development sites and performing site inspections and snagging, mechanical witnessing of ventilation and air conditioning systems and already has comprehensive experience of building of thermal models and preparation for simulation on both IES and TAS dynamic simulation software.

Chris joined ESC in 2007 and brings 18 years of design and managerial involvement in building services consultancy and contracting.


His experience includes many commercial developments (including as Project Manager/Design Advisor for builds in London and Dublin each with a value of £50m+) and full design duties for office developments, primary care centres, retail stores and casinos/leisure resorts. Chris is responsible overall for the delivery of electrical design at ESC.

David became a qualified engineer in 2002 and has 19 years design experience within the building services sector.


He joined ESC in 2010 and has been involved in projects ranging from the leisure and retail sectors right through to precision healthcare and manufacturing fields.


He has worked for mechanical contractors as well as consultancy practices and so has an innate understanding of how to achieve the best outcomes for our clients.


David is also an accredited Low Carbon Energy Assessor (Level 5) and is a leading player in our drive towards energy efficient design for our clients.

Harry joined ESC as an Apprentice in September 2013. He has been instrumental in the design of electrical systems for a variety of different buildings, from warehousing and business parks to brand new medical centres & community hubs.


Harry has also worked on a number of new office developments and has recently completed the electrical handover for four warehouse and office units at the new Enfield Distribution Park.


Harry is currently studying for his degree in Building Services Engineering alongside his electrical design work. .

James joined ESC in 2003, became a qualified engineer in in 2004 and has 17 years design experience overall with contracting and consulting engineering companies.


He prides himself on his knowledge of low energy design and has considerable experience in dynamic simulation of low energy buildings using IES Virtual Environment and EDSL Tas, for both of which he is accredited as a Level 5 Energy Assessor.


James is responsible for distribution of projects within the entire ESC team, and overseeing the Mechanical Services Engineering Department. This includes ensuring all projects are delivered on time, on budget and meet the expectations of our clients.

He has a strong background in environmental and energy conservation, designing and managing projects from conception to delivery and comprehensive experience in the design of mechanical engineering services, extending across a broad range of sectors, including historic building renovation, engineering manufacturing facilities and extra care accommodation.

Phil became a part of the ESC team in November 2015. He has broad experience in mechanical engineering in both contracting and consulting engineering companies.


His career path so far has taken him from being a service & maintenance engineer to a design engineer leaving him well placed to provide our clients with the in-depth knowledge only gained from working in both fields!


He also has extensive knowledge in designing controlled and clinical spaces such as cleanrooms, containment laboratories and close control test cells.


His comprehensive experience in the design of mechanical engineering services extends across the commercial, industrial, health, office and retail sectors.

Ash joined ESC as an Apprentice in September 2013. Now a qualified electrical engineer, he is involved with a wide variety of building services tasks, including large commercial, industrial and extra care.


He has completed a significant number of detailed design projects for a variety of high-profile clients – including those with very specific individual design requirements.


Ash is currently undertaking his 2nd stage degree in Building Services Engineering alongside working with his colleagues in the electrical design department.
