EU Energy Performance Rating in Buildings Directive
"Buildings are major consumers of energy; they account for about 40% of final energy consumption in the European community. In addition to this, approximately 50% of all UK CO2 emissions relate to the building sector.
The European Parliament and Council signed and agreed the Energy Efficiency Directive on the 25th November 2002 which became European Law in January 2003.
