We’re pleased to announce that Daniela Horton has qualified as a Building with Nature Approved Assessor.

The Building with Nature (BwN) Award is a voluntary scheme designed to enable developers in delivering and authenticating high-quality green infrastructure which maximises benefits for citizens and the natural world. It also reduces planning uncertainty, assists with local community engagement and demonstrates commitment to delivering a scheme which goes beyond simple compliance with statutory regulations.

BwN standards may be applied to every type and scale of development within the UK, whether residential or commercial and at both pre- and post-construction stages. There are two types of BwN Award for physical development:

• • BwN Design Award is used to accredit projects at an early stage of design, for example an outline planning application in larger schemes
  • BwN Full Award is used to accredit projects at a more detailed stage of design and includes a post-construction check.

Daniela is now able to advise you on the eligibility of your project for either BwN Award and offer an initial review in order to determine the best way forward. Once it has been decided how best to apply the Framework, we collate all the evidence of compliance with the standard and submit the application to the auditing body for review and certification.
