We’d like to update you on some exciting developments in our sustainability team.  As our drive towards Net Zero Carbon gathers pace, we’re increasing the knowledge, skills and qualifications base we’re able to offer  to our clients by expanding our team of consultants… all of whom are now available to support you in improving your built environment and delivering a wider range of services than ever before.

Our new team of six continues to be led by Associate Director, Vicki Wilson who has been with ESC since 2011. Vicki is a qualified BREEAM Assessor, On Construction Domestic Energy Assessor (for SAP), BREEAM Accredited Professional, Home Quality Mark Assessor and CEEQUAL Assessor. Her background in environmental assessment processes means her advice is essential right at the beginning of any project.

Nick Gorrie is a qualified BREEAM In-Use Assessor and  is a WELL Accredited Professional. He joined us in February as Senior Environmental Consultant. He has six years’ experience as a Sustainable Building Consultant and seven years as a commercial real estate development manager, leaving him ideally placed to assist our clients with finding realistic ways of improving the sustainability, health and wellbeing credentials of their developments.

Our three new Environmental Consultants come from varied backgrounds… Daniela Horton has great experience in client care and logistics management with all the associated excellent organisational and reporting skills. Peter Flinton has recently graduated with an MSc in Environmental Management and has experience in land management and sustainability, relevant legislation and protocols. Andrew Price has a BSc in Environmental Management and Sustainability and has spent time working as an Environmental Engineer. All three now join the ranks of our BREEAM Assessors and can provide advice on more sustainable approaches to construction and reducing embodied carbon.

We’re also delighted to announce the promotion of Becki Adams, who has transferred from the Administration team to become an Environmental Consultant and has almost completed her studies to become a BREEAM Assessor.

We hope you’ll join us in welcoming the new members of the team – all of whom look forward to working with you to ensure the required sustainability outcomes for your projects. They will, of course, be in touch with you as current schemes progress, but please don’t hesitate to contact us if they can provide any support or advice in the meantime!

Net Zero Carbon is critical in all aspects of design, construction and operation of building. It must be achieved as soon as possible. Government legislation and the financial sector recognise this too. By combining our Engineering and Environmental skills, we can provide you with all the advice needed to make your buildings contribute positively to mitigate the climate crisis.
